Back Splash Tile – Aluminum & Glass – Silver Glass Border

This was a fun and challenging project.

First, I removed all of the existing back splash tile which were an “aged” 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ speckled tile. Floated the drywall after demo, laid out and installed the aluminum and glass tile, grouted with black grout and caulked where necessary with a charcoal sanded caulking (tile ended up being a 3 day project).

I also painted two bedrooms, a bath and a rather large hall way. Walls were painted using a medium gray semi-gloss, door trim and base molding were painted in a pure white semi-gloss. A rather fun project.

Bob and Dawn, the owners did a great design job with the back splash tile, as well as the paint color scheme. As you can see in the photos, the homeowner was in the middle of changing the ivory wall outlets to a white with white wall plates. Further down the road, the cabinets will also be painted white to more effectively blend with the overall color scheme of the interior. The owners were delighted with the results and that made it all worth it.
